Launch of our first product, the Artificial Hip Profiler. The first production model has been delivered to Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd., where it is used in quality control and R&D.
2007 RedLux secure further financial support from SEEDA to bring our leading edge profiler to the market. We collaborated once again with leading hip joint manufacturer Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd to define the next generation quality control instrument.
In summer 2007 we were able to measure the whole bearing surface of cups.

In early 2007 we completed a working prototype for measuring the whole bearing surface of an artificial hip head in 3D.
2006 Shortly after forming, RedLux were able to secure funding from SEEDA to perform research into high precision measurement of spherical surfaces. We gained additional support from Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd.
2005 RedLux was founded by Dr Christian Maul to bring ultra precision 3D form measurement to manufacturers of orthopaedic implants. Dr Maul has worked on non-contact form metrology since 1997.
